Excuses and Extended Sale Hours
Greetings holiday travelers, Fair goers and pet rock enthusiasts. Also, greetings deal seekers. Last weekend was a beautiful, three day, holiday weekend. Many of you spent it at Bolton Valley buying your season pass and shopping at Vermont's Largest Ski and Snowboard Sale. However, we also heard from many of you that your friends were out of town or unable to attend. Excuses ranged from being away at the annual pet rock conference to spending three days straight eating fried food at the Fair and winning stuffed animals by shooting water into a clown's mouth. At the end of the weekend those people (and you know who you are) had either a trunk full of cheap prizes from the Fair or a completely new winter wardrobe for their pet rock, but no new equipment for the coming ski season.
Extended Ski and Snowboard Sale
Fear not, we have heard you and have taken your unavailability into consideration and have decided to extend the Ski and Snowboard sale for just one more weekend. Doors will re-open on Friday at 4pm and we'll be open through Sunday. Friday we'll be open from 4-9pm, Saturday from 10am – 6pm and Sunday from 10am - 2pm. This will be the last weekend the sale will be open so grab your friends and head on up. 2009-10 Bolton Valley Season Pass holders still get an extra 5% on goods purchased at the sale and we will be selling passes at the sale, for those that still need to purchase. For pet rock enthusiasts, pet rocks are always welcome at the sale. We'll have a pet rock play-pen set up so all the pet rocks can make friends. It will be very sweet and endearing.
Stay With Us
We have been in an unbelievable stretch of sunny days over the past few weeks and while the temps have been hitting the 80's on some days, there is that certain cool feeling in the air that foretells of the coming winter. While I prefer to jump straight from 95 degrees and humid to 15 degrees and dumping snow, Mother Nature insists on a transitional period. Us mortal humans have taken to calling this season "fall" and we gleefully sit back and enjoy the natural fireworks of the fall foliage.
If you'd prefer to go straight from summer to winter and skip fall then don't come up to Bolton Valley, where you can get a room for only $89. You will not want to take advantage of being surrounded by 5000 acres of delightfully colored trees and watching the sunset over the Adirondacks. Or of being close enough to Burlington for day trips to sit by the lake. Also, you most likely would not enjoy a drive up scenic route 100 to enjoy Cold Hollow Cider or a Ben and Jerry's factory tour. If none of that sounds appealing to you, you'll want to stay in your apartment and wax your skis dreaming of powder days. If for some reason though, you'd like to enjoy the fall foliage and live life to it's fullest, then you'll probably want to spend a night or two with us at the Inn at Bolton Valley for only $89 per night. Check online for complete details, that is if you're into that sort of thing. And if you're not into autumn, you should still check online because we have great rates on slopeside lodging for the winter months as well, and as you know, it's never too early to book that vacation so you can file for the vacation time well in advance.
Thank you for your time and we hope to see you at the sale this weekend. (FYI, I don't care how big the giant Sponge Bob is, we will not accept prizes you won at the Fair as trade for a pair of skis.)
