Timberline Open 7 Days Per Week and Other Good News

Hello to everyone out there in newsletter land. It has been very fun getting back into the swing of things by getting a newsletter out on a more regular basis. This week makes two weeks in a row after a long summer hiatus spent primarily at writing workshops in exotic destinations where the group exercises included ancient tribal rituals focused on the proper use of gerunds. Hopefully this all pays off.

Timberline Will Operate 7 Days Per Week

Enough of the semi-factual introductions, let's get down to business. The big news for this week is the announcement that the Timberline quad will run seven days per week. It went something like this: "We are going to run Timberline seven days per week next year." said George B. Potter. Simple and to the point, but very exciting none the less. The lodge will be open too so you can start your day there. In addition to making people happy it will extend my lunch break as I make it all the way over to Timberline to get the precious photo of the day. And, more skiing for me generally equals more skiing for you.

Vermont’s Largest Ski and Snowboard Sale

Last week I touched on some storied traditions of the one year old Bolton Valley newsletter. Some naysayers said something needs to be in existence for at least 25 years before it can be called a tradition. But I read on Wikipedia that in today's social media age traditions are now created in 27 minutes. With that settled, one tradition here is repeating things each week using slightly different words. Fans of this will be happy to note that the Labor Day Sale and Rail Jam are coming back around again in this newsletter. I'll keep it short.

Vermont's Largest Ski and Snowboard Sale. September 4-7. Amazing deals on skis, boards, boots and clothing. Bolton Valley Season Passes and season leases will be for sale. 2009-10 Bolton Valley season pass holders will get an extra 5% off at the sale. It will be great. Don't miss it.

Labor Day Weekend Rail Jam. Friday, September 4. It will be cool. Snow in September. Very exciting. Don't miss it.

Click on the links above for more information, in ever more slightly different words. (I'm not sure if that is correct English or not but you get the point right?)

Slope-side Real Estate

I live in a tent and cook my meals over an open flame. Some people say I'm a minimalist. Some people say I'm an idealist. I say I just like tents. Other people like living in actual houses with walls, heat and stoves. If you're one of those people and would also like that house to be slope-side, or near slope-side, Crown Real Estate can help you out. They have their finger on the proverbial pulse of the real estate market up here at Bolton Valley. Now that Timberline is going to be open 7 days per week, I'm sure things are going to start moving fast.

Good Contest

Today's contest is self serving and drives you to our website. Our marketing consultants said that it is good to get people to go to the website because increased web traffic is good, therefore anything you can do to increase web traffic is good. So, using a syllogism, this contest is good because it increases traffic to our website. It is also good because one person will win a Bolton Valley lift ticket. Email me and tell me at what price do skis and boards start at the Labor Day Sale. Should be easy. I'll pick a winner early next week from all the correct entries.

Until next time,

Josh
