Burton Learn to Ride
In 2006 Bolton Valley partnered with Burton to introduce the Learn to Ride program. Burton LTR is the best way to learn how to snowboard. It combines the most advanced equipment, teaching techniques, and learning environments to bring you a fantastic snowboarding experience and take your riding to new heights. Burton LTR is awesome for first-timers: our instructors are knowledgeable, passionate, and patient, our LTR boards are soft and forgiving so that you can make your first turns in style.
Burton LTR isn't just for beginners - there is always room for progression! At Bolton, we have boards for every riding style - Cruzers for progressing freeriders and Dominants for progressing freestylers - and instructors who are stoked to help you achieve your riding goals, wherever that might take you. We also have equipment especially suited for women - and a learning program called Bolton For Women that provides women's specific coaching at any point in your snowboarding journey.
Beginer Group lessons meet at 10:00am and 1:30pm every day. A 90 minute lesson is $79 for one day or $149 for three days. These rates include the lesson, rental equipment and lift ticket for the day.
Bolton Valley is the proud home to a Burton Progression Park. This park is designed to take the park newbie and introduce them to standard park features in a progressive format. Starting on small features where basic skills can be taught and then progressing as you improve to the larger features. Take a private freestyle lesson in any of our terrain parks, including our Progression Park. Reservations recommended. Valid lift ticket required.
